Cooperative Resource Center : Georgia’s Source for Affordable Housing

Development

Wellspring Community Development

The development team is led by CRC’s Executive Director, Craig Taylor. Taylor’s history as a developer of affordable housing spans 25 years. Since 1983 he has used his expertise in development and financing to create and secure over 6000 units of affordable housing in four different states. Before CRC, Taylor founded the highly successful Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta, and Progressive Redevelopment, Inc., both of which continue their work today.  Under his direction, CRC developers focus their efforts on those projects most desperately needed in the communities served, including extraordinarily difficult urban rehabs, historic rehabs, very small rural properties, and the complex housing needs for special groups such as senior adults, or the mentally ill. CRC utilizes a full-time development staff, as well as a long-term group of project management consultants.

We consider ourselves stewards of the resources we apply to development of affordable housing.  This requires wise use of the resources entrusted to us by both the public and private sectors and constant attention to cost containment, without sacrificing quality environments in our communities.
