Cooperative Resource Center : Georgia’s Source for Affordable Housing

Ansley North & Ansley South Cooperatives

Rehab – Cooperative – Urban

Developed as fee simple cooperatives, these properties are now wholly owned by the tenant residents. Deed restrictions with HUD guarantee that units will remain available for people who live below the median income for the area, providing affordable housing in an area where gentrification has displaced almost everyone in lower income brackets. These cooperatives provide over 100 units of ownership options that build equity, and give residents a return on their housing investment. All residents also belong to active cooperative associations, and participate regularly in the decision-making processes for their homes.
